A curated boutique concept store at Village Market, designed for a multi-brand lifestyle retailer. The space combines clothing, home objects, and artisanal food in a single curated environment. The design language draws on the materiality of East African craft — raw terracotta, hand-beaten brass, and woven textures — elevated with a refined spatial layout.
Creating a sense of discovery and curation without the space feeling cluttered required an exceptionally disciplined approach to display density. We applied museum-grade spacing principles to retail fixtures, ensuring every product breathes and commands attention.
The store has become a destination in its own right, with customers spending an average of 22 minutes in the space — well above the category benchmark. The design has been featured in two local lifestyle publications.
